Supporting Individuals with Developmental Disabilities Through Person-Centered Services and Community Resources

Southern Supports Agency (SSA) partners with APD Support Coordinators, individuals, and families to provide quality waiver services that promote independence, community inclusion, employment, and successful community living.

  • Supported Living Coaching (SLC) empowers individuals to build the skills necessary for successful independent living, including money management, household responsibilities, community integration, decision-making, and personal goal achievement.

  • Supported Employment (SE) assists individuals with job development, resume preparation, interview skills, workplace training, and ongoing job coaching to support long-term employment success and increased independence.

  • In-Home Supports / Independent Living helps individuals build the skills needed to manage daily responsibilities, maintain their home, access community resources, and live as independently as possible while receiving personalized support based on their goals and needs.

  • Personal Supports assist individuals with activities of daily living, personal care needs, household tasks, community access, and other supports necessary to maintain health, safety, and independence in the least restrictive environment.

  • Support and supervision that encourages community participation, social engagement, and independent living.
